Artist Bio

Originally from London, UK, Sarah McAllister is an expressive, gestural nature painter who works in acrylics, watercolor and oil. 

Her work is a personal reflection on themes of grief and death. A poetic exploration that takes into consideration the fleeting nature of beauty. Her use of vibrant color convincing us that vitality can only exist in the present as all things pass through the cycle of life.

After moving to California in 2000 Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in painting with distinction from the California College of the Arts (CCA) and has established herself as an emerging artist in the Bay Area, California. She is currently a member of City Art Gallery in San Francisco, ICB Artist Association, and the Oakland Art Association. She works from her studio in Sausalito at ICB/ART overlooking the San Francisco Bay.
