Summer announced her arrival
Before she turned towards Autumn
Never lost in the crowd
The roses sang in the morning hush
Stay with me
Before you go
Their first song of summer
They laughed softly as they waited together
She learned to be proud
Holding hands in the sunlight
Where the fantail sings
Just beyond sight
Where the butterfly held my hand
The tips of her fingers were dusted with gold
SOLD
Her light released the moment she opened
36"x 36"
Each hopeful morning
36" x 36"
Her fragile arms became sails of light
The first dance of Spring
Drink her scent in
The choir for joy
Forever entwined with the magnolia
How they burst with song
Announcing your place in the family of things
[Mary Oliver - Wild Geese]
Maybe death isn;t darkness after all but so much light wrapping itself around us as soft as feathers
[Mary Oliver- Whit owl flies into the field]
Believe us they say
One by one they opened their wings and flew
[Mary Oliver- Night Herons]
She took me back so tenderly
[Mary Oliver- Sleeping in the forest]
The moon steps lower
[Mary Oliver- Harvest Moon]
Their shoulders wet with light
Mysteries to marvelous to be understood
[Mary Oliver- Mysteries, Yes]
A silence in which another voice may speak
Darkness opening into morning
Your one wild and precious life
Dancing in the moonlight
